I looks to me like he passed out in the pub doorway, judging by the behaviour of the other people.
I wonder how we can survive after a shock like this one

Classic case of shock. probably did collapse a few seconds later, when what had happened was realized.
there was a case meany year about with a footballer. An accident happened on the pitch, and he was basically dead, but still ruining, as the body just carried out what it we planning to do before the accident.
