Manufacture dates some of the ship?

So I'm writing part of my RP atm and ran into a bit of a problem with the lore. You see my story is taking place in 3288 and not the current time of the lore. I was in the process of writing about the Vulture but then stopped myself once I realized I didn't know if it was around back then or not.

I don't know a good deal about the older games but I do know a lot of their lore doesn't really fall in line with Elite: Dangerous so I don't want to make a mistake by adding a ship into a storyline that wouldn't have existed back then. Like say the DBS or the Asp scout.

I just want to know, out of the ships in the game currently, does anyone know what are the dates which they first appeared? It would help a lot.

Almost all of the ships are present in earlier versions of Elite. This is a list of all the ships in Frontier: Elite 2, which takes place in 3200. This is a list of all the ships in Frontier: First Encounters, which takes place around 3250.

Sadly the vulture doesn't appear on either list. The Vulture is manufactured by Core Dynamics, which builds Federation specific ships like the Federal Assault Ship, Corvette, etc. 3288 isn't too far into the past so it'd be a tossup whether the Vulture had been designed yet, but if it had it's most likely it would be more common in Federation space and rare in Imperial or Alliance space, especially because travel took longer in 3288. According to canon, our current FSD systems were invented in 3297 and FTL travel was much slower. I don't have experience with any of the previous games so I'm not sure just how slow, but previous games had a 'time dilation' option where you basically could speed up game time because trips could take hours or days depending on your destination.

Adder- 2914
Anaconda- 2856
Asp E- 2878
Asp S- 3301
Cobra MKIII- 3100
Python- 2700
T7- 3290
Viper III- 2762
Sidewinder- 2982

Only ones which have an ingame description.
My guess is the Vulture was manufactured very recently, due to the Large Hardpoints on the small frame, and its agility given its firepower, Id say around 3300.

Thanks guys. This information really helps a lot. It gives me a better grasp of what I can do within the time line. I'm gonna drop the Vulture from the story but I think I can work in a different ship to take it's place.
