Map and HUD iconography clarification please

I've not found a description for the three indicators below, any help would be appreciated

1), In galaxy map, what does the segmented orange arc above a globe signify
2). Why is the large HUD target circle incomplete, segment missing from 12 to 2 ?.
3). In the large HUD target circle what does the little line in the 6 position signify ?

Hi Dunno...

1) The orange arcs show systems that you can reach in one jump from the star you have selected. They account for your current jump range, mass, fuel, etc. Useful if you're out exploring, trying to work out if you can make your way through some sparse area.
2) & 3) Just graphical style
