Hi Everyone

I was looking at the map today and relised i can buy trade data from systems i am not currently at. What does this actually do?

Also noticed you can buy exploration data, again same question?

If you buy the exploration data the system view gets unlocked for that system

The trade date tells you the demand and supply of the system.
so you can buy the data from a nearby system an check what commiditys they want/have without traveling to the system. To do that go to the commodity market in any system/station and you can select the system in the drop down menu on the top right.

IMO not very useful since it doesnt tell you the prices nor the station (giving theres more than one station in the target system).

if you go to the commodities, and on the last tab where it normally shows the galactic average, you can select the system where you bought the trade data, and it will have import and export next to the commodity, but as Peter Quill states, you wont get prices.
