Map Navigation with the PS4 controler

Hi, i'm loving the game and the vastness is awesome.
However i'm unsure how to go up and down on the map rather then all around and zoom in and out.
can you help please?

maybe its just not set on the controls from the get go.

top botton on throttle is a square hold it and use the stick.

Have a look in your control options. You might have deslected it changing other things about, I did. And if you havent it will tell you what button it is. I think its under galaxy map translate.
