Map size in metres (for pre-planning)

Apologies if this is somewhere and I just can’t find it…

I’ve dug around and found Frontier Mo’s response to DeLadysigner confirming the buildable area in Planet Zoo as the same as Planet Coaster’s sandbox. I’ve never played Planet Coaster so I had to keep digging for the dimensions. Found an image (in a Jurassic Evolution post, interestingly: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/no-actual-islands-maps.420102/) which indicates a Planet Coaster map is 748x898m

Before I get too far into a big master plan depending upon those dimensions, can someone please confirm or correct the number?

Thank You!

it should be a bit bigger than that. Last time I measured it I had a bit below 1000 in one and 10xx in the other direction.
So for something like a Zoo far more than enough space and as we know, if you build detailed like in a zoo (and not like a some fences here and there like in a safari park) you will be not able to get near to this size ,without making the game a slide show.

I don't think the goal is to set items on literally each m of the map, but to make something like a plan "on scale". It is something I struggle with. If I do planing on paper, I never get it to scale. Building on those plans turn out always either too big or too small.

I have a "collection" of sand box parks, which are just some kind of blue print construction sites for me.
I place some coloured cylinders in my existing zoo as markers, make a blue print of them and place this in my construction site.
Now I have all the time and dynamic light I need to build this thing, at least the major parts.
As I mentioned (I guess it was somewhere here in the forum) some kind of markers and measurement tools would be very handy, but I don't think that this is anywhere in the pipeline.

^^This exactly. Well put.
I’m using an iPad drawing app and can easily set the canvas size to a particular number of units if I know what numbers to use. Actual intention is to NOT crowd anything and leave as much open space as possible.

Thank you, onk.
I think 950x1000 is close enough for my purposes, but if you happen to run across the actual numbers while playing or in a note somewhere, that would be appreciated. I don’t want to fill the map. Quite the opposite. Known dimensions mean I can plan for tons of open space and flexibility (which is what real zoos often dream of!).

No wonder it's almost impossible to fill the map. This is almost as big as the San Diego Zoo (40 ha), Berlin Zoo (35 ha) and Singapore Zoo (28 ha) combined (if my math is correct which it probably isn't)
