Questions for those in the know:
- Are mapped mineral hotspots in planet rings persistent (i.e. show up in the nav panel later for benefit of all)?
- Are credits given for scanning the ring.
I ask because I am out exploring and mapping planets. Planets that have rings require the "rings" to be mapped separately. Easy to do, just shoot a probe at the rings as well and it comes up as a separate discovered item. I'm happy to do this for miners if they get any benefit, which means the hotspots need to be persistent and show up in the nav panel for all up the track.
Should say in passing, looks like "geological" POI's that are revealed when mapping a planet are persistent, so imagine mineral hotspots could be the same.
Also, would like some credits? What's the story there? Has anyone done some work on the credits now paid for FSS scanning and mapping systems?
