Mapping a Saitek x55 in game?

Just curious on how mapping the controls via a x55 work. The game has a x55 profile and for the most part I love it but want to switch just a few things up. I assumed I would do that via the control scheme. The only issue is that commands from the joystick and throttle seem to register the same keys. For example right on the witch hat on the stick is registered in E:D as "JOY 8". At the same time the switch on the bottom of the throttle labeled "SW 3" is also detected as "JOY 8" when trying to bind it.

The keyboard controls do not seem to work while the x55 profile is enabled in E:D therefore using the Saitek software is not an issue either.

Is the only option here going back to the keyboard/mouse profile and mapping all the keys in the Saitek software?

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere here that if you have both USBs plugged into one hub you get that problem. I have mine plugged into two separate USB sockets and have no problem other than the naming of the buttons and that's not a big issue.

Does that help? If you're set up like me and are having the problem I'm sorry I have no other suggestion.

I actually have them plugged up into what I believe are two separate headers. I haven't actually had a problem with any of hte switches working per say which seems to be the big thing happening when the whole setup is on the same header. The comment below seems to confirm that the game registers different keys as the same input.

Hi this may help i posted a x55 profile inc Keyboard binds

You will that against each bind is a number that is the corresponding key press / toggle positions hope this is some help, all i used the saitek software was too adjust the deadzones.

Thank you, that layout is something I've been looking for although I've pretty much figured it out by now. :p So as it seems to display, there are controls on the joystick that are registered to the same input as some of the switches on the throttle?
