Many times I've been pottering about in an SRV or wasting hours at one of the barnacle sites hoping to see a Thargoid appear (still haven't...), when I've checked out the galactic map to see where I want to go to next, only to be told I can't plot anything whilst in an SRV & that I can only do it when in a ship.
Obviously, we know we can't traverse the planets (with ease) in an SRV, but being able to plot our routes whilst in an SRV would be of great use, rather than having to call down our ship, enter it, set a route & exit it again.
