Maps are far too small

i thoguth we where sopost to get larger maps but they all fell small and mosto f them have a i dont even want to try on that one feel to me. i miss the oringal 5 island in channgle mode they where more fun

The point is easy dude its jurassic park/world not call of duty people want big maps myself included to make a cool park with as much dinos as possible i dont want to cramp my dinos in small ugly enclosures and thats a solid reason the maps are to small and thats a fact

Just because you make ugly enclosures, doesn't mean other people do. An enclosure doesn't get "prettier" just by increasing its size. It's about the content in the enclosure. I have no problem with making great looking enclosures, so it's not a fact at all that we need bigger maps. It's only your own opinion. And again, how will you make bigger maps with the console restrictions?

Because sometimes it'd be cool to have a huge park with every dinosaur species in it to watch and enjoy.

Why limit that option? Make the maps bigger.

I personally don't care to have all species in one park, but I would be fine with the opportunity. It's just not possible with consoles...

I never said i make ugly enclosures and yes small enclosures with dinosaurs in them tend to be ugly and not fitting the species they are not some bears in a zoo they are dinosaurs and need space cause a freaking brachiosaurus in an small enclosure looks ugly and yes its definetely a fact that we need bigger maps cause why put over 80 dinosaurs in the game if we dont have the space for them? Makes no sense at all just put 20 species in the game and then u dont need so much space but its natural that i want as many species as aviable in the game in my park without starting a new map and thinking about what dinosaur to put in the park this time and lol what its just my oppinion? Seems like everyone except u wants bigger maps and i know the consoles holding the gamae back but it was a bad decision to release the game on the old generation consoles to begin with thats just frontiers greed and now all the pc and new gen gamers have to suffer all over again.
People want big maps in a park builder and thats a fact who in his right mind would say nope iam fine with small ass maps?

There already are restrictions for older consoles that aren’t there for PC and new ones, so I don’t see why there shouldn’t be bigger maps for those who are able to use them.

And if you prefer smaller maps no harm done, it’s not like they’re gonna disappear just because we got bigger ones to choose from as well.

I prefer to do multi-species enclosures with animals who lived together sharing space. Having a herd of stegosaurus, a herd of dryosaurus, a herd of apatosaurus all cooped up in a small enclosure looks stupid.

Even with single species enclosures, you can spruce it up all you like, but if you have a giant theropod in a small enclosure it doesn't look right.

End of the day, it's pretty obvious the previous gen consoles are the limiting factor, and that's not going to change.

On PC, the borders were removed by a mod for the previous game, I'd imagine it's a breakthrough that's in progress for this game.

The PS4 is already restricted though (think it can't combine JP and JW era) so I don't see that as an excuse for limiting PS5 and PC maps since they could EASILY have a larger map or two available on PS5 and PC versions.

Because the game is also on consoles. Yes they could probably do it no problem on the PC version, but that will leave out all the console players. Has to be the same for everybody. And I haven't had any problem with the sizes of the maps. There's really no need to cramp in all the species on one map. I don't see the point.

The point of larger maps isn't just to cram every dinosaur and reptile into one map. You could do that if you want, that's not a problem. The point of larger maps is better looking parks. With larger maps you can build better looking parks. Remember how Jurassic Park looked? It didn't look like an overly cramped local zoo now did it?

I am not expecting to build a scale replica of JP in the game because that would be impossible. I would like enough space to build a park that looks good visually. It's not impossible with the small maps, it's just a bit harder. To have a good dinosaur variety and have a nice park.

I wouldn't say it's the older consoles alone. The game has new dynamic AI and new animations. It also looks better than the first game. This is clearly pushing the consoles. There is a reason why these kinds of games were always PC exclusive. To be honest JWE and JWE2 probably should have been PC only like Planet Coaster was and Planet Zoo is now.

The new AI and animations are going to take up a lot of CPU power. The new consoles are still using APU's which is basically a CPU and graphics card. But the graphics in the consoles are using the CPU as well. AI and animations are usually CPU heavy tasks. The consoles don't have a discrete GPU like PC's. Everything is handled by the CPU.

The new consoles aren't nearly as powerful as people think they are. That should be easy to tell by the price. My PC has a GPU and a CPU. While the GPU handles some things the CPU handles other stuff in the game. At max graphics settings and 1080p I am seeing frame drops with my hardware. It's nothing that makes the game unplayable but it's still happening so I can only imagine what it's like with a console. If you get a big enough park going it probably causes performance issues.

The hardware in consoles is usually obsolete anyway. It has to be for them to sell you a console for $500. That's like a third of what I paid to build my first PC back in 2016. That's just a little less than what I paid for my 2070 Super back in 2019.
