Have you gone down to his base and delivered to him the 25 units of Modular Terminals?

Until you do, no access to blueprints, I'm afraid.

IIRC, you can only get Modular Terminals from mission rewards, so you're gonna be busy a little while longer yet if you don't have them already.

And how would I deliver them when he's locked?? As you can see on the screenshot I provided he's locked even though I'm friendly with the faction.. it seems like it's bugged and haven't given .e any option to deliver anything for him. I can't even see he's base on the system map

Normally you'd go down to his base on the planet Lucifer (yes, I know, hang on), once docked, the option is in Station Services.

I don't know why you can't see his base yet - it shouldn't be possible to enter the Sirius System without having already met the criteria to unlock his base.

When did you get the permit - was it in a current (ie still active) play session? Because if so, try relogging to force the update of your status.

Ingot the permit for the system a while back.. maybe a month or so.. but it seems to me like it stuck in the process.. I don't think I'll get the mission before the unlock has happend with the Sirius corporation part.. and that's where it stuck at the moment.. it seems like the game don't recognise that I'm above friendly with the faction..

That is weird. I'd file a support ticket for that.

I also have the permit, and am grade 4 with Marco Gwent but when docked at Nevermore Terrace ...... you see my mistake, yes how many others have gone to Sirus and not Sirius

I have read on another forum that you need to do a unlock mission for the Sirus Corps. I've not unlocked Marco Qwent and looking for the same answer. So I am not 100% sure. I can't see a unlock mission that I have been asked to do.

You have to have the reputation to obtain the system access permit THEN you have to do the Module turn in, which is available when you dock and open the 'engineer' option. On the right, I believe, is the dialog for turning in required material to make them happy to work with you. etc etc.

Check the ship-based mission boards in Sirius and nearby systems. You have to complete an unlock mission for him (nothing to do with modular terminals). Once you complete the mission, you'll get an invite.

I just did this last week with my third commander.
The engineer info in the right panel seems to imply that you need to look on the mission boards in Sirius - not possible at the moment due to all the mission boards being empty or unavailable due to the thargoid war. I've just turned allied with Sirius Corporation and am docked at Zavijah, there are no Marco Qwent unlock missions on that board.

So is Qwent, and the subsequent engineers such as Palin, locked for a while because of thargoids?

Once you've gained allied status there is one more mission to complete to get the system permit. Upon gaining the system permit then you can turn in the modules to Qwent.

Thank you CMDR - I've done it in the past with other accounts, but I've always docked at Patterson Enterprise in Sirius to get the Qwent access mission.

None of the dockable sites in Sirius are offering any missions, and none of the other systems where Sirius Corporation have a presence are offering the Qwent acces mission. It looks like Qwent (and therefore Palin) are locked to new CMDRs for the foreseeable future.

I'm allied with Sirius Corp, but was not overtly granted access to Sirius just because of this. Everyone got access a week or so ago.

Qwent is temporarily locked, but Palin is not. You can unlock him by going there with an unclassified relic.

According to the wiki, the unclassified relic only bypasses the requirement to travel 5kly distance from the start point, it doesn't bypass the need to be buddies with Qwent. But I'll try it, I've tried everything else.

There is a system where you can drop cartography data to gain reputation at Te Kaha system to earn reputation. MZ Ursaes Majore, or so, is where you can drop cartography data for Alion Independents reputation. You gain the system permits, but Marco Qwent is pulling a Brandon and still hides in the basement. I had to skip him entirely after starting over which sucks since this step interferes with other engineer invites.
