Marine Life + Aviary?

I know people have probably already suggested both of these but I think I have a different idea on how to execute them.

Aviaries: Aviary fence wall, can place like a normal fence BUT then. Aviary net posts. Posts that go inside the fenced in area, adjustable in height, and then netting will automatically connect from the tops of the aviary fence walls to the tops of the posts. More posts = yk more netting configuration. I know a lot of code would probably go into this but I think it would be the most realistic option for building aviaries. I think aviaries should be a base game update along with base game/dlc bird overhauls so they'll use them!

Then the marine pack idea:
  • Sea Otters
  • Harbor seals
  • Walruses
  • Belugas
  • Bottlenose Dolphins
  • Puffins <-- aviaries for puffins! walk in aviaries?

Aquatic exhibits?
  • Japanese Spider Crabs
  • Octopus

Other aquatic stuff
  • themed buildings obviously
  • MORE UNDERWATER FOLIAGE PLEASE
  • dock/pier building stuff
  • sea cliff building rocks?
  • sunken treasure/old time diving suit/ship stuff
  • zoo location that is like coastline? maybe distant/surrounded by ocean but you cant modify that??

Now this is all good, but how would the fully aquatic animals work?

Pretty simple probably, space requirements only for deep, navigable waters. Probably no penalty for land or shallow waters in case they could cohab with other/land species or someone did a lot of natural landscaping around the enclosure. Then they'd just be like a seal except they'd stay in the water. Might have to add some kind of oxygen stat though so you can't drown them. More toys/balls for them to push around? Dolphins would jump out of the water or splash guests maybe. I think the cetaceans should like, hang around the glass/barriers more to seem like they're interested in the guests. Or just fully add like them being interested/looking at guests as a behavior.

Okay okay, I’m like ing it, but how would they get in the water? The keepers need a spot to throw their box down and go walk into the habitat. If the whole things water how would it work?

Ah true good point, I think the keeper would just have to be coded to walk as close to the water as possible and just throw it, or when put into an enclosure by a keeper they'd have to teleport into the water. Don't keepers already swim in enclosures to refill underwater feeders? If so then I don't see why they couldn't just swim into the water and throw em out. Also in Zoo Tycoon 2 they had a special enclosure entrance for aquatic exhibits so maybe they'd do something similar in PZ

Not sure, I’ve never used underwater feeders 😅

I’m sure Frontier could figure something out. They always do!

There is a lazy method to display full aquatic species in the game, introducing a walkthrough aquarium tank as exhibit for full aquatic species. Its area is larger than the current walkthrough exhibit, and cannot be set as null. It comes with water and a tunnel as visitor path, the players can put decorations into the water tank based on their ideas. Like this:
