I liberated a good amount of marked slaves from Kumo Crew cargo ships and now I don't know what to do with them. I visited Utopias both controlled and exploited systems and there is now way to exchange them for merits. You can't hand them into your power contact nor you can't push them on black market. Are marked slaves completely useless to Utopia?
I'm an Imperial, so this is unfamiliar, but freeing Marked Slaves are how independent powers undermine Kumo. Did you get them from a Kumo control system, or an exploited system? You can't get merits from doing things in exploited systems.

This is no longer true. Well, kinda.
You can collect them and turn them in for 5 merits per (IIRC), but its far better to do normal undermining, which was added for independent powers way back. But yes, at one point you had to pirate undermine, which was kind of cool.
