support replies to me that the issue has been acknowledged and verified. They are aware of the issues and that's affecting our gameplay progression.
They ask to wait until they fix it. Most probably, if you do your 50 markets, it WON'T count. No ETA but they are doing it ASAP.

Nope not updating
I'm on Xbox and mine is stuck on 248, not really a problem as I have unlocked engineer ages ago. It's just I like to do my achievements (trophies on ps4) and one of the achievements is to sell at 500 different markets. It's been stuck at 248 for long time. Now the stats for number of people unlocking this achievement is 0.03% which makes me think a lot of people on xbox have the same issue but have got beyond 50, so nothing is really affected (apart from unlocking a small achievement) and they don't know it is stuck or it doesn't bother them.
I thought it was fixed.

I wouldn't be surprised if the bug was reintroduced in 7.0 or 7.01, but then again.. are you sure?
Pretty sure it's been reported broken again in patch 7. Like the megaship looting ...
Well it's working for me.
I tested by selling goods that were in demand at stations and surface ports, these were in systems I had not been in before.
May have to leave system for codex to update...
