I was wondering I am playing in franchise mode its very frustrating getting animals, if I get a male there is no females to that animal . If I buy a male animal there are no females. There are no cash animals at all. I cant really play a zoo game if I cant even get a breeding pair of animals. Please help.

Animals gets uploaded every seconds in the trade center, you can do like I did, filter the animal you would like a male/female of and keep pressing that sweet refresh button
eventually I would find the animal I wanted and even for cash at most times!

I have been doing that since Tues. still cannot find mates for the animals I do have, I paid extra for the pigmy hippo and there is never any in the marketplace. Why are there no cash animals at all. Finding the game frustrating and not much fun.
Try other game modes.
Franchise is a game mode where you rely on supply and demand. During the early days of the game supply is low and demand is high which makes it hard to get animals, obviously if you are not interested in such a challenge at the moment, try other game modes.
In time more animals will come to the market as more and more players will play Franchise Mode.
As Luuknoord recommended I would try out Campaign mode! It has easier access to animals than Franchise mode does.
