Hi commanders

Since a week I did ONE traderoute up and down.... one way 1400cr profit per ton (128 cargo ^^), and back 400cr... To be honest it was already very neat!!!!! Now, I thought have a route with more profit MUST exist, it's just hiding some where.... and tonight, after loosing 1hour... I found the next good trade way:
Up: 1750cr / ton, and 760cr profi the other way around. AND.... not anymore as the old way done in 4 jumps, but... 1 jump only! Hell I love that game! The more I'm into, the better it gets!

But after hours of investigating into the market system, there are still for me compmlete 'black holes' in that system.

Could someone tell me how to gt these trades understandable?! In the galaxy map by example... you're able to buy trade date... does it then really affects the Commodity list? So if I hit COFFEE, and says EXPORTED TO...... is it really a way to buy it and sell it there??? And other thing I just on't get: same example, the coffee shows up as being exportet to XYZ in the Commodity table, is NOT listed in the exports when go use now the GALAXY map and go click on the destination station where it should be in IMPORT (neither on exporting station it's written).

That system is for me still yet a black box... I don't get it completely! For my trading routes I mainly fly around and take prints... to compare each other....

I dont get all the traders things, as trading is boring as hell, but I am using this tool (bottom), there you will find most profitable routes. I am searching for wealthy and huge worlds, but I have no idea if it is best solution.

Well, this tool is in my eyes not usable... as it counts on manual input... the locations I'm at aren't even in, so... and the problem is, if I spread out my way, tomorrow I could search a new one as everyone would rush into... that's why nowhere says: buy this here, and sell it there.....

or... am I wrong? Correct me ^^

Basically, to find system names best tool is Slopeys tool or Galaxy view in game. Red arrows are showing your toys to play with

Heh... I think nearly everyone is using the same method as you, blacky!

What you describe is how it should work - in theory. But it looks like FD are still tweaking it all, because right now the in-game trade information is not very reliable (though I have noticed that the galaxy map trade route ribbons which show player trade routes for each commodity seem to be working better).

Some people are using 3rd party tools (eg Slopey or Thrudds), but they are not 100% reliable either and only work well in the more populated areas.

Congrats on your latest route though!

For me, any 1000+1000 way is good if its 1 jump, if there is intermediate jump, I would go with 1200 + 1200 and oh yes, the stations must be within 200 Ls from the sun

In fact, I have been able to find at least 10 similar routes in range of 50 Ly in last two weeks (and I would find more, but it was not necessary), so I dont think they are rare and hard to find.

Basically patience, for me keywords for good trade are: tabacco, slaves, gold, palladium, tea, machinery

I am doing normally 300k by round route (2 jumps).

Ohh, sry let me show you, on screenshot on top, I am searching for wealthy systems in combinations, for example: first system is refinery, second is industrial, etc. Then I am using tool to see possible profits:

Then (as arrow points) I know that my world is not best choice, but there are some interesting routes nearby. So I am continuing to search or just use those routes.
