Mass fireworks drop - Brought to you by the Hutton Truckers, Palladin's Consortium, and the kindness of other random players!

Tonight in roughly 30 minutes (9PM GMT), we will be arriving in Buckey Hub with nearly 1900 tons of Anduliga fireworks to drop to anyone who wants them for the "More Bang for Buck" community goal event! Bring limpet controllers and limpets so you don't have to scoop manually. We will be in Open play, and if you're unable to find the instance, send myself (CMDR Meishel, Tetronator, or th03bgt, a friend invite and we'll find you a wing to nav-lock onto.

Guidelines for the event:

-Please deploy 2 limpets or less at a time so everyone can get a fair share of fireworks. Please don't come out in a python with 6 limpets. :)

-Please do NOT fly underneath the Anacondas or ram anyone, doing so will prompt a warning, and our combat escorts may open fire on you before the warning is issued. We do not want people blowing up the canisters many players worked for hours loading.

-If you do not have a limpet controller and have no choice but to manually scoop, we will have players in smaller ships willing to drop 20 or so fireworks 1 by 1. Send a message to any of the Anacondas, and We'll get you in wing with someone who will drop for you.

-Of course also, Have fun!

That's one CG ruined, for those of us that put in a lot of time & effort.

I'm very sorry to say, we pretty much ruin every CG we take part in.
If by "ruin" you mean help the CG max out and help as many random players reach the top 5% as possible, yup, we ruin the crap out of it.

Everyone is welcome to get the "free" handouts, its what we do.

TBH though, its not that hard to reach the top 5% in any of these events, its knowing what to do and when to do it.
I did 3 runs in the gifts CG to make it into the top 5 then spent the rest of the CG shipping for others, including 2 big giveaways in the cutter at over 1200t.

I'm sorry for those who missed out, but we do post when we are doing it and give each and everyone the opportunity to ace the CG.

I'll also add, we do it to promote group play, making as many new friends in game as we can, whilst trying to bring the Elite community together.

Its a real blast seeing 30 players in your instance, all making good.

What you did was prevent those people who couldn't attend your event from retaining their positions at the top of the reward tree in one night and end the goal early. You may have helped some people but you really wrecked it for others.

I see your point.

I'm asking out interest not out of sarcasm, what would you suggest we do on the next CG?
What would you say to all of those CMDRs we did push into the top 5% and there were a lot of them.

I do feel genuinely guilty for those who fell out of the top 5% on the gifts run. Thats the one I was in on, not the fireworks.
I will talk to our guys, maybe we should knock this style of play on the head for CGs that are arranged for all.

I think the events are very time participate dependent which ever way you look at it, put the time in, you get to the top, don't put the time in due to what ever reason, you don't make it into the top %.

I will think on this some more.

My opinion, for what its worth. I think the benefit the truckers have on bringing the community together, far outway the single negative. It puts the "community" into the CGs.

Thinking on this some more, when its to push for something for the whole community, i.e. the amount of a rare stock, the more of the CG we do the more a given item becomes available, I think we ace it if we can. This way everyone benefits from the extra stock made available, like the Sothis gold CG and the Hutton Mug CG.
Same with the Gifts CG, that was for new players, not us.

I'm not attend to this event and still ands up with top %5.

Sorry for you cmdrs that think in this way about a CG.
But if in real life you wane go to a concert and hear that all tickets where gone in 10 minutes and that your to late, you gone be angry the rest of your life on those 50,000 people who did get a ticket for that concert.
I can remember a cmdr who was in hospital during a good CG, should he ask FD to hold the CG until he got home, he didn't and said life goes on, even if I'm not there at this moment.
Try to think for a moment before you write something over here, please.
.
Goodluck and fly safe.
