Massacre "Infected" Vessels?

It looks like a standard massacre pirate mission except for the "infected" requirement. Has anyone taken on this type of mission? I only noticed these in the past week. Just looking for a heads up before I accept one of those impossible to complete missions.

Its the same as other massacre missions, you take it on, scan the nav beacon and kill ships in mission signal sources and no doubt accrue a massive bounty.

How do you know that, have you done these missions? I'm on one of these now and so far its different. The POI is called "Distress Call" instead of just "Mission Target"

They'll be the words mission target in the details for the ship alongside faction and rank.

The targeted faction are in Outbreak. Infected ships will be the ones which spawn at the mission USS. That's the only way to tell really.

LHS 3447 Faction pirates. I investigated 3 of these POI's; 6-7 wanted pirates in there, but none of them had "mission target" tag. Nothing left but to abandon this mission. The problem is the mission board is now swamped with these types of missions.

Weirdly I'm there currently. First time in years. Took the free sidewinder taxi rather than fly all the way back from Rohini.

I've just been to LHS 4337 to park a DBX there, so when I self-destruct outside Jaques in a Sidey I'll have a decent set of wheels waiting for me.

On topic, there was a similar thing, a while back, with massacre missions involving "religious extremists".
Haven't seen any of those for months. Dunno if FDev decided they were a bit un-PC.
Presumably, the missions the OP's talking about are a similar thing.

Yeh.... I recall the wanted ships were the targets for biohazard massacre missions.

These missions have been like this for quite a while. It is confusing why they add missions they know cannot be completed due to being bugged.

Yeah, mission targets not being flagged has been the issue with these for a while

I've received this kind of mission in LHS 20 Ohm city, and still stuck in same situation, no target was flagged, just wanted. Is there any solution or still bugged?

Infected ships. Oo. That reminds me of good old Homeworld: Cataclysm (or Homeworld: Emergence, as it has been renamed to as Blizzard has the copyright on the 'Cataclysm' word).

Totally worth getting if you even slightly liked Homeworld 1 back in the day.

Still broken. Tried another one today. And no, shooting the "wanted" ships that say they are infected still gives you no mission credit.
