Massacre missions, new type

A little quick one for me. Thought of it as I was scrolling through the combat missions ingame. I also play Starsector quite a bit, I thought of the type kill missions there.
This will not replace any other kill related mission.

Each faction, under the same spawn rules/chances as normal:
Eliminate <civilian/transport/pirate/police> from <faction>
  • 6hr timeframe
  • Kill as many as you can within the limit
  • Paid x CR per kill
  • Same rules as kill missions for material/commodity/inf/rep reward alternatives
(1) The mission should specify size and rank of the target, and reward should reflect that
(2) It could even spawn missions specifically for a certain ship aswell, eg. Sidewinders, for a slightly higher CR per ship killed

Now, looking at rewards in the other kill/massacre missions. A typical massacre/war kill mission, the reward for killing 90* targets are 50mill* CR, that is ~555kCR per target killed.

So simply, go gungo-ho in the nearest haz res, kill 80 targets, makes you 40mill + bounties


*Wing missions are slightly better cr/kill, but going for the lower estimate here

Seems legit.

And rank. Rank is the game changer here. A competent Python goes down faster than an Elite Viper IV.
Now, looking at rewards in the other kill/massacre missions. A typical massacre/war kill mission, the reward for killing 90* targets are 50mill* CR, that is ~555kCR per target killed.
So, I'm convinced that's a bug, but will probably never be fixed.

If you compare (legal) non-cz massacres across the board, payouts are identical per- kill, 500k IIRC.

For cz massacres, the wing payout is slightly higher than 500k (maybe 600?), not because the payout is higher, but the amount of kills is lower. Conversely, solo cz massacres have substantially higher kill counts and a per- kill payout lower than 500k (350?)... it's a if the mission templates are cack-about.

Also, OT, Starsector... i like the cut of your jib good sir!

You are correct, I was looking at CZ massacre missions :p

and yes, rank should definately play a part aswell
