Sorry if this was asked before, couldn't find any info. How do you actually complete these missions? I went to 2 different settlements controlled by the party required by the mission, it was the right system too. I looked for research personnels, even confirmed on a terminal that they are researchers (their name only says scientist). Killed em, scanned them, nothing, no credit toward the mission goal.

Thanks, yeah, not sure why it's not working in an Agricultural settlement with all the researchers.

Has anyone actually completed one of these missions? I did a Massacre mission recently detailed here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/are-massacre-missions-still-broken.582918/#post-9326007 which required me to kill military personnel. I wiped out the entire colony on a military base of the named faction and got zero confirmed kills.
it's bugged, sometimes it work sometimes not, I'm not doing them until it's fixed.
I completed one last night where I had to kill 4 technicians. Workers and scientists didn't seem to count, but Administrators did?
I think that was it - it definitely depended on the type of target. I ended up visiting 5 different bases and knocking off about 15-20 NPCs before getting my four.
Edit: if there IS a bug, it might be related to which faction actually 'owns' the settlement. Might be killing all the wrong people.

The military base I razed was definitely owned by the faction I was targeting and was definitely a military installation. EDDB confirmed this and it was brand new data added by me, not legacy.
I had this problem I think during the Alpha, and I watched a youtuber ( I can't remember which one ) doing one of these mission and everything looked correct but none of the kills counted towards the mission - I've avoided those mission since then as I've not seen anything in the massive lists of bug fixes yet.
