Massive lag in the Fer-De-Lance?

I just bought a Fer-De-Lance, and I'm eager to try it out.

....or I would be, if this game didn't suddenly become the choppiest I've ever seen it. I don't think I've had issues in the Asp, I've seen very minor hiccups while in the Python, but in this ship it's choppy no matter what my graphical settings are. Has anyone else seen a crazy difference in graphical performance varying from ship to ship?

There have been server issues reported today. The ship shouldn't matter.

My advice is hold off on judgement until later this coming week :)
