Kind of funny reading the comments. People keep wrongfully insisting Elite has been in development longer than it has and "correcting" those who say otherwise.

Yeah it gets annoying at times. Reality Distortion Field at its best.

But it's good to see that while ED may not have the reach of other more hyped projects, it does leave a lasting impression wherever shown.

Definitely, most of those making that distinction have been corrected numerous times before. It's a bit of a passive/aggressive thing.

Great article, very positive.

I (Like the rest of you I'm sure) was very excited to read this:

For the next release of Elite, players will enjoys a new type of station that is significantly larger than the ones already in the game. In the words of Braben, the new stations are "more flamboyant and higher tech."

And this had me really excited....

By this time, I was already more impressed by and interested in the game. But that feeling paled in comparison to playing on an Oculus Rift. Talk about an immersive experience!
