Materiels Calculator

You may already have one but, if not, then fill your boots...

Allows you to drop in desired number of J1 - 3, AFMU1-3 and basic SRV materiel requirements and gives you number of each mat you require. Some minor formatting to highlight what you need to find based on stock you already hold.

You can add further functionality (warn if desired mat usage means holdings would exceed 300, add other mat usage that I haven't dropped in...

Anyhoo, if its any use; enjoy

Perhaps it should have been posted in Horizons thread?

Thanks Cmdr, perhaps but this is about the only thread I inhabit and I felt some of fellow Cmdrs may like the tool..

Open to suggestions for improving as I <blushes> only too well aware its not rocket science ;)

Good idea - they colours indicate the very common, common, rare, very rare mats - will add column A with description

Edit: done...

This is great . Could you make one where you put in what you want and it tell you how many units you need?

that's what it does (unless I'm misunderstanding the question). You enter quantity of jumps (J1,2 and/or 3), number of AFMU refills, number of SRV refuels/re-arms/repairs (any combination) and it spits out your mat requirements. If you have entered your current stocks, it will tell you how many of a mat you need and indicate if you have a surplus. The totals field will go red if your taret number of mats will exceed 300.

Hope that explains it better...

+1; Very usefull, I made a sheet for myself that pretty much does the same.

For easier understanding I suggest the following:
  • Rename "Input" to sth like "Input desired amount of synthesis per type"
  • Put the names of the synthesis types above the "Input". Currently the names seem to be titles for the cells below, which isn't the case
  • Below the "Input" add a divider showing what is listed below the divider (e.g. "Required Materials for desired syntheses")
  • I'd leave out the yellow materials. They are so common it is hardly worth tracking them
  • Target and stock cells are both grey, though one is calculated and one is for manual entry. I'd choose different colors, and re-use the manual color for the input cells for consistency

Cheers, edited with some points taken onboard..

Re counting V Common - its to factor stock holding limit of 300. I guess most Cmdrs will hold at least one of each 'spell' just to tide them over when they first get planeside..
