Max Laden Jump Range

Hello,

Can someone please help me out, im trying to maximise my Laden Jump Range in a Cobra Mk.3 but every mod i try seems to reduce the range significantly.

Ive tried improving the power plant and fsd, but something doesnt seem to work as intented.

I have 44 cargo space and a shield setup,

any help would be much appreicated. Ideally id like to get max jump range > 22Ly, with 44 cargo, is that even possible?

If you mean > 22LY with a full cargo hold, i think not.

Cobra can get over 25 unladen IIRC. Basically you want Class D wherever you can except FSD and possibly power depending on how much you need to power the ship. Avoid Class B altogether.

you need to get rid of all unnecessary equipment like guns etc and then buy all the lighest gear you can buy

Avoid Class B altogether.

Except the Cls B FSD, that's still an improvement over the C4 & it's far cheaper than the A4 of course .

Max your fsd, otherwise be as light add possible, Ie class A. class D's are the lightest so can use for everything else. Shield has weight, up to you if you have it, more cargo or nothing. Weapons have weight. Scanners etc have weight.

Best you can get out of a Cobra is 28.46 unloaded and 21.98 fully loaded with 60.

So yea, you could jump 22LY with 44 cargo easy and carry a shield.

Don't forget to get the 2-ton fuel cell, and A4 FSD... and use Rating D smallest class that fits.


Of course, you won't be able to boost if you get a D1 distributor so...

Fuel tanks weigh nothing at all so I prefer to keep the bigger tank but never fill it more than 20% with fuel.
