Engineers Maximum optimal Hull Mass?

What is the maximum positive % of optimal hull mass that can be rolled as a secondary effect?
Specifically of a 2A shield generator.

I think the highest I've ever gotten was a 9% increase without meaning to.
But I would rather know before I make a futile attempt to gather materials and try something :)

As I use thermally modded bi-weave I don't pay that much attention to optimal hull mass increase I'm chasing better resistances, however I had a look at some imported coriolis builds and I do have several with optimal hull mass increases/decreases the highest +6.8 and the lowest -1.9% (thermal modded), it looks like enhanced low power (-11.38%!) is going to have negative optimal hull mass primary effects so the other three mod types are your best bet.

I'd suggest trying G1 mods to see if you can get reasonable quantities of positive secondaries before using rare mats/data, I got 5 optimal hull mass changes out of 16 builds and only three were positive so the odds aren't that good.

Why? Trying to squeeze a 2A onto a Cobra MkIII? I doubt you'd manage that. You need like 30% extra.

Asp Scout is doable though. And a dolphin is only needs like a 2% bonus.

Weirdly I was yeah :p (recently only just bought one - gotta say it's actually quite a good little ship)
That's good to know about the scout! I like my asp scout! kinda regretting not getting any 2A prismatics before defecting now though -.-
I will have to look into it for my dolphin explorer as well, gotta have that extra 0.1LY!

The Tick, that's the thread that made me ask the question, because I have actually managed to get a 5a prismatic on my cutter :D
I just thought all my many low % increase rolls were RNG bad luck.

Indeed. don't we all love our 760 ton iCutter [money]
