Maximum profit per trip in a Cobra

I've just worked my way up to a cobra, and am looking for the most profitable routes. So far the best round trip I can find is about 22,000CR per round trip. That's not a huge leap from the Hauler...

Has anyone managed to find a more profitable route (assume unlimited cash to buy stock with) for a Cobra?

ps. I've tried using a couple of route advisor utilities to suggest the best routes and all the profitable stuff seems centred around Erinin and systems within 2 or 3 jumps of there. Does that means that the most profitable place in the galaxy just happens to be around the 'starting' area? Or just that the utilities don't have any data for any further out...? You'd think the further you got, the less traders there'd be and therefore more opportunity for profit...?

Can't remember what the range is like on the Cobra, but look into round trips from LHS 3262. You can buy consumer technology there and take back metals for the return.

If you can make it as far as LFT 880 that will net you 65k over two legs.

Mhh, tough one. I consider the Cobra broken at this moment. If you pack her to the roof with cargo, even without guns, then there isn't much left to jump to.

The most profitable routes usually go through extraction systems, and most of them are more then 8 ly away. So you can get there empty, but you are not able to return full from it.

The size of the cargo hull doesn't make any sense at the moment. What the point of having a big suitcase, when you not able to lift it when its full?

Better save up another 60K and buy a Lakon Type 6. Your cargo and jump problem will be over, it is a lesser gun platform though. Choices, choices...

as it stands the best way to make money in the cobra (IMO) is to jump into an anarchy system and pirate NPC's at the nav point, that way you can fill the hold and not have to worry about hyperspace distance as you wont need to jump out of the system to sell what you collect.

its also a lot of fun as the MK 3 is a fairly good vessel for hunting in and doesn't suffer the difficulties that the anaconda does when trying to scoop cargo.

Yeah you can trade and all, but why not make it more interesting: go to a fed system with black market, "liberate" some slaves at the nav point and sell them for over 9000! per can.

Watch out for the law...

oooh, I can see a couple from LHS3262 that would net me £35k for a return trip...

Can figure out the 65k though...? Though that could be a lack of data on LFT 880.

Yeah, just looking for the shortest way to get a bigger ship... looks like that'll be a couple of runs to LH3262 to afford the ship, and maybe another couple of runs to have enough cash left to buy some stock for it...
