Hardware & Technical Maximum resolution supported?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. What's the maximum resolution Elite: Dangerous is likely to support? Hopefully you can tell me 2,560 x 1,440 is supported...;)

There is no information regarding resolution as yet.

It SHOULD support anything you want (at least upto 3x 1920*1080 monitors).

But anyone who says anything other than "I don't know" is lying, UNLESS they are from frontier. And frontier are not yet talking about it.

Smartphone watch version of Elite: Dangerous

A 320 x 200 resolution version is being built to target the latest smartphone watches. In fact, there will ONLY be a smart watch version. No desktop PC versions have been planned. :)

HD please...

1920x1080 support seems at least reasonable to not fall behind current tech too far in the future. A question I have is whether it's better to send the signal in 1080 progressive or interlaced? Deinterlacing can look a bit blurry, so I have to set the TV to auto-adjust to the native mode of the transmission, which gets annoying when when changing channels that have different signals. Maybe not a big deal if it's a game coming over HDMI, but in theory, progressive has better motion and interlaced better static scenes?

Way too many acronyms...

Progressive. Absolutely. But it's not a relevant question as computers only do progressive anyway.

It's been a long time since I paid any attention to desktop hardware, but I recall having interlacing issues with various machines and CRT monitors in the past. I'm going to assume then that modern stuff like HD connectors to an LCD TV only do progressive then (and no conversion)?
