May I add my voice to not liking 2.4 Mission System

I think I had 3 deleivery missions the other day and that was it. 2 paid 30k and 60k and the other, to colonia, 1800 jumps away offered 600k.
 
I'm keen on this game for the space sim aspect, I'm not too interested in aliens and jump scares and supernatural stuff. So I was really pleased that 2.4 had not only Thargoids but also more missions so that the tedium of relogging open/private/solo would be banished, and there'd be an end to docking 2-5 times before something interesting/rewarding came up. Then 2.4.02 dropped and I just assumed it was a temporary credit constrictor while Fdev worked out what was leaking with Rhea and the Thargoid slaughter, ie how to plug that without killing the patient. Now with 2.4.03 I'm confused - the constriction is still there. It seems they rolled back 2.4 missions and indeed made them worse relative to 2.3. Never once in 2.3 or earlier was I offered a mission with zero reward (only cargo). I can't even engineer a lot of stuff because the mats never spawn. It's always the same 5 mats regardless of where you go. I filed a bug report ages ago and they said they were 'looking into it'...
