Maybe it's not about the credits.

No it hasn't been a grind and I expect the next few hundred hours won't be either. I've done a bit of trading, and a bit of bounty hunting. I haven't done pirating or slaving but I did a bit of mining which didn't work out for me. I think I've got a good feel for the game and a good feeling for the future of the game.

And this weekend I realised that I wasn't in it for the credits. I wasn't grinding for the next big thing. I had a fully tricked up Asp and a fully tricked up Vulture and 25m credits in the bank.

I have had lots of fun with them, will probably have another of both at some point but I sold them both and bought a Cobra Mk3.

Why? Well. Because.

Okay there are other reasons, the Cobra is one of the sexiest ships in the game. It's fast, it's agile, it's got a good fuel tank range and a good jump range and it is very versatile. Although it's firepower, relatively weak shield generator and power distributor make combat a little more challenging than doing the same thing in a Vulture I am not convinced that is a bad thing. It can still hold its own. It still has good firepower and if it goes south I can usually run away from any other ship in the game.

I am an Asp fanboy and I have a lot of respect for the Vulture but for me, for now the Cobra is 'The One'.

Oh no, it's definitely about the credits. If I have more credits than you do, I win and you lose.

Just like the Real World. :p

Why did you sell the other two? You know you'll most likely want them again later. You had plenty in the bank to buy a cobra without selling the other two and wasting the 10 percent resell loss.

For me , Elite is about living your life in a univers.
if creds if your goal in life so be it.
For me its just to see things , help the poor mess up the corupt and maybe dance around in a nebula

I can't fly more than one at a time plus I am now playing as a travelling bounty hunter.
