"Galvanised" ship skin? What does that mean, exactly? Maybe the word you were looking for was "Anodized"?

EDIT: Has anyone ever seen a colorful, galvanized chain-link fence? There's an idea that would earn millions. I have seen all sorts of colorful anodized products but I have never seen anything galvanized in any color but grey.

EDIT: Suggestion for FDev: Vibrant, brightly colored, anodized ("galvanised") ship skins in a bright, deep red, orange, green, blue and purple. Anodized black would probably look hot, too.

Same reaction about hearing that name and seeing the paint pack. Galvanized metal is something used for things like plumbing pipe and whatnot and is hardly considered a "lustrous" finish. It certainly doesn't look like those ship skins! [haha]

Anodized is a lot closer to what those look like.

Galvanizing is a process similar to Annodizing, where a coating of zinc is applied to steel in order to resist rusting. Galvanized, the word, is also used to say someone, or a group, has focused their wills to a cause.

As a personal opinion: just by the beauty, rhythm and colour of the words -

galvanised evokes strength & resolve where as anodised just reminds me of a blocked nose...

So - I think these paint jobs do look more anodised... ;-)

Those Cutter paints look um... Eh. Well they look like something else, I think that's as much as I should say.
