MC Payout Proposition - Please Read FD

Okay this may come under flak, but it might not.

I agree that Crew members should not earn the full amount that the helm earns, so here's what I came up with.

It's really simple actually

Elite=80%
Deadly=70%
Dangerous=60%
Master=50%
Expert=40%
Novice=30%
Mostly Harmless=20%
Harmless=10%

And adjust the fines accordingly to each percentage.

This I think is the best compromised payout model that most would agree on, already I'm hoping.

Personally, I don't see why it needs to be compromised at all. If someone really wanted to grind up to an Anaconda there are faster ways to do it than MC even at 100% payout.

I think it should be more like:

Elite=100%
Deadly=100%
Dangerous=100%
Master=100%
Expert=75%
Novice=50%
Mostly Harmless=25%
Harmless=10%

If the objective is for new players don't make too much credits, cut only on the lower ranks...

I think the ship captain should determine how to allot the payout via percentage wheel. If it's him and a friend, he could do it 50/50. If it's him, a friend, and a newbie they are showing the ropes, maybe make it 40/40/20. It should be an agreed when they join up.

With this said, the captain always has the option to change the rules. Let's say he takes the whole amount and doesn't pay out his crew. Crew can submit an official complaint to the system's major faction, and then that captain will be become wanted for the amount of money he stole. That way you have the option to kill him and get it back.

I also think this is how bounties should work. Currently, my friend and I can grab the same bounty and get the same amount of money just if each of us get a shot on the bloke. Doesn't it make more sense that the FIRST person who snags a bounty, he's the ONLY one who owns it, and then he can bring you on to assist him, and offer a percentage of that bounty to you?

These are more fun, realistic, and enjoyable game mechanics.

Elite Dangerous is a huge time sink, but they drop the ball on money sinks IMO. The value of a dollar should matter more, and there should be more things you have to put money into. You store all these ships at stations; why don't have to pay monthly storage fees? Stations that are in the middle of nowhere, why isn't their fuel more expensive? Fuel in general should be more expensive. Repairing your ship should be more expensive.

I love the game though :)

Yep, you want money just get into a wing and go bounty hunting or conflict zones..get more of a share that way. To me multi crew doesn't seem to be worth the notice. sounds fun and looks cool but really that's all it is at current.

I will be hated for saying this but... I don't see much 'earning point' in MC anyways but I Guess FDev had to convince the players to use it! But I frankly do not see why the payout has to exceed 100% of bounty given. That is, if the bounty is for 1 million (lets just say), then the helm should get the major share - lets say 75% (its their ship and their re-buy after all!) and if they have 2 MC members on board then the MC crew get 25% split evenly between them. if they have only one MC member then they get 25% etc.

I think the same mechanic should apply to wingmen to BTW. The killing party gets 75% and the rest get a cut!

What is this crazy madness you cry!!! Well, its risk vs reward - if I fly solo in one ship and I kill a ship and get 1 million bounty, why oh why should a crew of 3 potentially get 3 million for the same job??? The bounty is the bounty is the bounty - it gets split up out of that bounty not MORE BOUNTY ADDED!! thats just nonsense. Its only an added sweetner to try and entice people to use it and that blows.

I know I know - its not about reality etc. but even so...pffft it blows. In theory, 3 players should be able to generate a lot more kills and cash anyway without massaging bounties to stop people complaining it has no earning potential. The issue is developing a system that REQUIRES a lot more teamwork and therefore MC to make it possible like ships you simply cannot kill alone but that take 4 or 5 wingmen to take down but the bounty payout is HUGE. Thats a game mechanic I would rather see than this.
