Me and Eravate just don't seem to get along

First time I visited I was clean, I docked and when I launched I had a 400Cr bounty. Brought a Suisidewinder and taunted the security until they destroyed me. All good.
Fast forward a couple of months and I have just been back again today in my hull tanked Adder - The Pesky Rodent, I'm clean and my intention was to be a nuisance to wanted CMDR's. In SC and get interdicted by a CMDR, great a bit of 1v1, open fire, 400Cr bounty! Topped up to 6400Cr after the interaction. What the hell happened there, I was clean, he interdicted me, he was clean and I ended up wanted, got interdicted by another CMDR (fair enough I'm wanted by this time) another 400Cr for opening fire, no kill bounty as he left after a while, neither of them was a noob I may add.

It was good fun I have to admit but now I look like some noob griefer and my choices are to wait to get killed by another CMDR or get the system security to do the job again. [sad]

I've lost two ships to Cmdr's. One early on in Lave, and the last one in Eravate. I went there as it was recommended for live player activities. Not real big on conversation it turns out.

Eravate and I *

Yes indeed, but I thought I'd go all Reddit on your * posterior *

and yes Whiplash 1983 there is not a lot of conversation in that system, I have had plenty of PvP there every time I visit and rarely does anyone want to be sociable before, during or after. Hence why I go there trying to annoy them instead. No major joy or salt farming from destroying an Adder in your FdL

They have to shoot you first. If you hit first then you are the bad guy.
The point of interdiction should give a wanted status but the whole system needs a rework and hopefully something that's coming in 2.1.

You may have been in hostile space though...

I don't even think I'd even mind gettin' blown up once in a while if it had some pauses and some dialog to it. Something more interesting than the 20 seconds it takes to melt down a FDS or the two minutes it takes pounding on an Conda in silence just to hear it pop. Old gunfighters trash-talkin' with a bunch of observers looking on before the draw would be fun.

Did you scan him and let the scan complete and see "Wanted" on your scanner before opening fire?
If not, that's the problem.

Had the same thing myself, many times. I always let them shoot and hit me 1st, but still getting the 400 and then the 5 to 6k bounties.

Its a fine, not a bounty.

Edit: ninja'd

Damn, that will be the problem then, I assumed it would get you wanted and as the red mist had descended I didn't notice he was still clean.
Also I kind of expect getting interdicted by someone in Eravate would lead to aggression and ergo they would already be wanted, turns out that's me now instead

If you have crimes reported against me off he can interdict you and not incur a bounty. He likely did have crimes reported against him on. When you open fired on him you likely got an assault fine and then a murder bounty after killing him.

Interdiction gets you a fine, not a bounty, unless you don't pay the fine off obviously.

A fine point.
