Ships Meaning of Supercruise Assist status of other ships?

Hey all, something that seems "new" to me (since my ~2018-ish days) is this Supercruise Assist status of a targetted ship on the lower left display:

I haven't found any info about this. What does it mean, and how is it useful? (I'm guessing it's related to interdictions somehow.)

At first I thought it was something related to SCO boost but then I learned Supercruise Assist is actually an autopilot thing instead.

Isn't that just the module integrity? Does SCA have any module integrity?

Ok hang on, I think I see what you mean... It's just showing the integrity of the currently targetted module on the ship, and SCA just happens to be the module that's targetted by default when I target a ship? Ok that makes sense! I haven't targetted a ship (or module) since last decade lol so forgot it shows up on that display

In a Nutshell it is an ‘autopilot sort of thing‘. It helps you to to have better control over super cruise, which therefor cuts the time it take to move anywhere inside a star system. It doesn’t boost the speed, but rather enhances your timing – very much like when and how hard to use the breaks on a car.

To explain how to use it would be to cumbersome (for me) and to make things worse: it functions the same on all ships, but control and result is different from ship type to ship type.

Best to go to YouTube and do a search on “elite dangerous super cruise assist” and learn the basics (can’t point you to ‘the best video’, you might want to view several …, thereafter experiment with different ships in-game.

Personally I highly recommend it, I rather have super cruise assist installed then a docking computer, if I need to choose – on most of my ships I have both installed. It’s definitely a time saver while traveling in a system.

I get that, I was asking why it shows Supercruise Assist % status on a targetted ship. But I think I understand now it's just the integrity of the default targetted module on the targetted ship. Like if I targeted powerplant instead it would show "Powerplant 100%" there. Stuff I should've remembered lol...
