Wasn't "Bank of America" the bank that during the housing boom, found it was making more money on customers that defaulted on their payments? The houses that they repossessed were worth so much more money than when they were first mortgaged. It was so lucrative they started to make it ludicrously easy for customers to obtain loans.

It could well be that the only reason EA won the competition was because the people who have a beef against Bank of America didn't vote. Internet access is difficult for the homeless, and suicide victims.

All they need to do now is unlock the map size so we can go up to whatever size grid our PC's can handle and then they can have my money.

That and actually put in all the content they have already designed but are holding back to try and extract more cash for paid for expansions.

this SimCity was the nail in the EA coffin for me, never brought the game for the simple reason of EA and the money grabbing DLC and DRM. I have vowed to never knowingly purchase another EA title as long as I have a PC.

Hopefully EA will see this as a failed experiment and not try and repeat it. But memories are short in this business it seems and they will probably have people tinkering away trying to perfect it anyway, only to be unleashed on us in a few years time.

They do things they think they can get away with and this one, for once, did not work.

I agree with Mobius though.

I'm sure even with this patch for SimCity you will need to go online to activate it and then apply the patch.

Sorry.....completely offline or nothing for me. :)

Pity, Simcity was good. Well the last decent one was SC4 with RushHour expansion pack.

Same for me, those b@stards took a wonderful franchise and destroyed it from short sighted, anti-customer greed. **** em. Its indie games and independents for me all the way now.
