Mechanics when they inspect/fix rides.

I have a few ideas for when mechanics inspect/fix rides:

1. Please make them enter the exit. I HATED in RCT3 that they entered via the queue line.
2. When a rollercoaster breaks down, have the mechanics "escort" guests off the ride. So if a rollercoaster gets stuck on the chainlift, have the mechanic walk them down the ride.
3. If a ride is broken down, don't immediately have the guests leave the line. Give them all a tolerance rating, so some guests get frustrated quicker then others and leave the line sooner then others. And as time progresses more people get frustrated and leave.

I don't know that the third one is necessarily realistic. I know at Disney, anyway, if they shut down a ride to the point where people need to be escorted off the ride, they tend to also close off the line rather than let people just stand there and wait.

That is the opposite case for Alton Towers from what I have been in. We watched riders get escorted off after an issue but they let us stand in the queue line to wait for it to be fixed if so wished but just closed it to more people coming up.

Once it was fixed we then got to ride it twice in a row to make up for the wait and they were very good about this.

It is the 2nd point I was not aware happened. As far as I knew it was the ride attendants that escorted passengers, not the mechanics. They are not front of house staff and are even unlikely to be seen during the repair process.

You normal have the control room attendant that remains, and two to three others that are control queues and similar so they normally sort the guests out.

The more I think about it, you are right. But still I'd like to see guests escorted off the ride when it breaks down instead of just sitting there waiting for it to be fixed..

I believe it should be dependant on the issue. Minor mechanical breakdowns they could remain seated and anything unknown or serious they get evacuated by staff. It all depends on how deep the developers make the game and the coding needed for that.
