Mechanics will not repair vandalized objects

Can anyone get mechanics to repair vandalized objects? Mine soddenly refuse. I have multiple mechanics in proper work zones and their only responsibility is to repair the objects but no objects are ever repaired. They are fully trained and have staff buildings available. I even drop them right in front of broken objects and they just continue to "wander." It's a frustrating thing as I have to scan through my entire zoo quite often to fix broken objects. Has anyone else run into this? Any way to fix it?

I put in an official ticket. I have the same issue. They walk by as if there is nothing wrong.

It's one of the MANY bugs in this game that are extremely annoying but hopefully they are working on them.

The one and only time I got them to repair ... he didn't even repair the one next to it.

And, just had another mechanic repair a vandalised tv monitor.. in Franchise Mode. Level 1 as I had literally hired them and placed them on the bridge with the reported vandalised items. However, it didn't register as a repair on their stats. So, another sign that, that side of their job isn't fully implemented. It could be the reason we can repair those items ourselves.
