Medium landing pad

Just a quick question......

Is a medium landing pad the one on the side of the "tower" on your average 3 pad outpost? Or is that a large pad?

I'm still kicking tires on larger ships (larger than my current Cobra or Vulture) and I do lot of runs to outposts. A medium pad would do well for what I am looking at.

All landing pads on outposts are small, you can't land type-7, type-9, anacondas,etc there. The other type of stations with letterboxes have medium and large pads.

Outposts have a medium pad too. You can land Pythons on them. Not Type 7s though, they need large.

Easy way to tell pads apart, other than size.

Small - 1 blast flap.

Medium - 2 blast flaps.

Large - 3 blast flaps.

I have no idea if that's the correct name for them.

You are wrong.. Outposts have a medium pad as well. The T7 and 9 are considered large ships..not medium.

Asp - medium ship
Python - medium ship


both can land at outposts.

Yeah I thought that was a medium pad but wanted to make sure. The blast flap description is great!

Pad 3, medium, would be facing us on the large super structure to the right (ie: the Tower....to me) and pads 1 & 2 , small, are on the lower two smaller structures.
