Hay Cmdrs...

Now that some of us (and all of us soon) have the ability to create images of ourselves, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves officially by posting your Explorer Cmdr pic here.

(unfortunately I can't go first since I don't have 2.3 beta, but I am really looking forward to the full version dropping in the near future).

Here's my first try. Spent about 15 minutes on it. Then spent about 2 hours trying to figure out the key bindings for the new camera system so I could take a picture.

I was originally going to go exploring before 2.3 dropped, but since they opened up Beta to anyone I decided to take a look. Still, not that much of interest for explorers.

Explorers have our own forum (ie where we are right now)...why not have our own thread for Cmdr pics, since most of us exclusively hang out here?

I wouldn't know a 100th of the people in the "Show us your commander thread" whereas I know the vast majority of cmdrs here...I would prefer not to search through large numbers of people I don't know to find people I do.

I'll post mine after 2.3 has officially dropped. Judging by the avatars I've seen so far most ppl are modeling them after themselves. As in all character creators I'll be modeling something I actually enjoy looking at

I've promised the dubious honour of producing the Holo-Me to my daughter. (I am a fool). She's said that it will be "lifelike". Knowing her I'll end up looking like a strange Manga/Anime character.

But that will have to wait until the release of 2.3 (have the Beta access but can't be bothered to download it.)

there isn't ... screenies of the settings is the way to go...

I'm not sure if I can reproduce the beta version of my commander in the completed game. I make one by clicking random a couple of times until something I like shows up, and then fine tune the details. I don't think I can make the same face purely from the details tools when the holo-me goes in the permanent game.

Its just as enjoyable looking at all the ship interiors as it is interesting looking at everyone's holo-me creations.

While I can't say I know a lot of people here, I do have to agree with his logic. I know few commanders in general, and even fewer within the exploration community.
