Wait a minute! This game has three lives. That is so completely against the Elite ethos that I'm going to theoretically withdraw my pledge immediately.

In a non-violent non-effective protest.

:)

Not 3 lives. I'm sure he uses a cheat code to have unlimited lives. ;)

A good read.

The nights are drawing in. Hope Tom wears a flourescent jacket when cycling to and from work. Or emits bright and pretty particle effects.

Absolutely! Us backers aren't going to accept any injuries as an excuse to not turn up at work

That actually is the official description of the ship from the original Elites, afaik.

Ohh, well I have played the original Elite on PC and it didnt move slow and had descent lazers. But it might be portraited different in another version for another console.

Elite was never released on consoles, as far as I know, only computers. ;)

But, yes, it was always meant to be a luxury ship more than a bad-ass fighter. It's turn radius _was_ larger than that of smaller ships.

This is what I saw on Ben's monitor last time I walked past :(

Oh man, to play this we will need to buy a new PC with at least a double-quadcore i7 with 4GHz, 16GB DDR4 RAM with some weird CROSSFIRE double grafic card (also 2x4GB DDR5 RAM) that will cost at least 2000 USD+ (tripple 2500x1600 pixel Monitor and ocolus rift not included)

This also puts an end to any porting across to the Playstation 4 or Xbox one, there's just no way they are going to handle that level of detail....

Hello. Not really avoiding them, just didn't have very interesting answers to them.
1. I've played Fe2, and had a go at the original Elite since coming onto the project.
2. Yes.

I see what you mean.. maybe you need a better question.

IF you had to be stranded in a one man space station for a few years, what game (excluding Elite Dangerous) would you ABSOLUTELY Have to have with you... (Multiplayer options are not available due to the poor quality of broadband connection by NASA's chosen ISP talk talk).??

I'd be quite tempted to take something like FTL or spelunky, maybe minecraft. Those roguelikes do in theory have infinite possibilities.
