Meeting the locals... how can I meet your group in space?

I joined the Pilot's Federation in January this year. So far I've cut a fairly solitary path and my interactions with other pilot's so far has consisted of being pirated a couple of times, killed on sight a couple of times and some fun and games at community goals.

But, I can see that there is a lot more going on in the game than that. So I've decided to try and go out and find groups in space and see what they are up to. I'm not looking to be recruited, at least not yet. I just want to find out what else the galaxy and it's inhabitants have to offer.

So how would I go about meeting your group in space? Do you have a home system I can visit? If I just flew there in Open would I find members of your group? Would you be prepared to show me around and see what you are up to?

I'm as interested in meeting blood thirsty pirates as enlightened social reformers. Small groups or big power play organisations. I'm happy to take a few risks, maybe get involved in a little of what you are up to.

Think of it as a gap year tour while I try and think of what to do next in the game.

Oh... and I'll be about this afternoon / evening should anyone have a gap in their busy schedule to do a bit of tour guiding.

Commander Maxmilian Czhilli

Come on down to Eravate and say hi to Adle's Armada. We always have a bunch of pilots flying around! :)

So the missions I was finishing off got me an Alioth permit. I traded in the Type-7, and fitted out a sexy new Asp Explorer and got down to Eravate late on Sunday night. A couple of fleeting hollow squares, but nobody responded in local. Grabbed a quick mission and rested for the night in Cupis.

Monday evening I headed back to Eravate and the system is teeming with commanders. Got chatting and it turns out at some of them were form Adele's Armada and patrolling the system keeping an eye out for reprobates. One of the patrol, Raoul Duke (a doctor of journalism I presume), private messaged me if I wanted a duel to 20% hull. Never done this before so I thought I'd give it a go. Of course I didn't have hope with my gimballed weapons against an experienced PVPer flying a hull tanky, silent running whatever it was - could barely see it. It was a great experience though, loads of fun and very educational. We winged up and he escorted my stricken ship to Cleve Hub. Except en-route I got interdicted by an NPC pirate. My cockpit was cracked, I had only 11% hull and god know what state the systems were in and I was panicking. Fortunately Raoul Duke dropped in and saved my ass. Finally made it to Cleve Hub where the 37Cr a tonne profit on the liquor I was carrying barely touched the fuel I'd used let alone my repair costs.

I got an invite to join the Adele's Armada teamspeak to chat about PVP builds. Couldn't get teamspeak working and to be honest would have felt a bit out of my depth. Decided to call it a night.

So a tremendous and eventful welcome from Adele's Armada so far. Seems like a really friendly group. I think I'll stay in and around Eravate for another couple of evenings at least because there seems to be lots going on.

I need try and get teamspeak working as I think it will be useful to have on this trip. And I'm still looking for other places to go and people to meet. I'm all up for variety. Any fearsome pirates want lure me somewhere to meet/use for target practice?

If you're still looking for something you can fly on out to Njikan if you're up to it, you can usually find me around Njikan 4 mining in the rings there. I cant say I have a large group seeing as its just me at the moment but I am looking for other players to join in the fun. I'm not on too much however so if you shoot me a message here or something before you hop on you can be pretty sure I'll be there at some time to see you.
