Engineers MEF - 110 missions produced 3 MEF. None since. So much for MEF mission rewards...

As in the title of the thread.

It seems that we will still have to go Mario carting around surface installations if we want these precious MEF mats. So much for the FDev assurance that they would also be available as mission rewards.

Anyone else suffereing the same lack of MEF or is it that I have somehow pi**ed pff the RNG God?[where is it]

It's you I'm afraid, I've seen loads.

Not that I'm interested in them, never found them to be an issue. Wish they hadn't become a mission reward really, as its resulted in less cif mission rewards being offered, which is much more of a pita to get.

I tend to run out of Sol, M Gorbachev. Loads of factions (I'm allied with all of them) and pretty much permanently in boom. All types of missions.

Try around Rhea in Fed space I picked up a double MEF and several singles and declined another one due to it being planet based (it's only when I see falling skimmers that I remember about the bug!)

I've also been getting offered missions offering 1 or 2 MEFs as rewards. One was lowly (Peddler, maybe) ranked cargo mission with a neutral faction! I've seen them pop up here and there.

I'm in Imperial space. I couldn't tell you which systems I saw the rewards in as I don't remember.

On a related note, I'm finding even more missions offering 2-4 CIFs, which I also don't need any more. And Exquisite Focus crystals are everywhere...

I'm sure all these missions will go into hiding the minute I actually need more of those rewards.:rolleyes:

I'm on a CIF binge at the moment and not doing too well... MEF seems to spawn around 2-3 times more than Crack, mostly hi-tech stations in Alliance space....

I'm trying to convince myself that state, economy etc have no bearing on drop rate....

I was trying to boost my fed rank a couple weeks ago in ceos sothis, running data missions, and realised that after like 4 runs between the systems i had gotten 12 MEFs.

Was starting to think the same thing until last night, then I picked up 12 in about 20 min, Plus 9 Improvise Components. So not sure how this works anymore :(
