Mega/capitol ship defence idea.

It is noted that Thargoids can slaughter Large ships easily by shutting them down and obliterating their victims. this is due to not having anti-pulse modules that can shield the entire ship/station.

New idea, instead of trying to shield and entire ship, why not just have smaller neutralisers near the important modules???? (thrusters, FSD ect) and upon pulse, all exterior unshielded electronics are cut/rerouted temporally to ensure no electronic feedback damages modules (like a large circuit breaker). power required is minimal, cost is minimal and effectiveness is high! all we need next is capitol with AX guns and war is won!!! ;)

any thoughts?

I guess the problem is that the Thargoid pulses creates a [insert Technobabble here] that causes the whole mega ship to shut down despite trying to protect specific modules.

Translation: That's a gameplay feature. Sooner or later they will discover the way to protect the battlecruisers from the pulse and we'll have full battlefields with thargoid motherships and imperial interdictors engaged in battle :D
