“Mega Tasks” to repair damaged stations – Please add Mining Ores!

Today the stations damaged by the Thargoids migrated to the repair state, and they now have high demands for various trade goods to help the rebuilding effort, including a lot of metals purchased as commodities but no mining ores at all. Frontier, please add mined ores to the demand list too. Ores seem like a natural choice to provide stations with the materials to repair and rebuild, but more importantly this would give miners a “goldrush” type event to enjoy, providing great reasons to go mining outside of the bubble.

I’m loving the non-combat opportunities the Thargoid stuff is providing so far in 2.4, but this seems like a great place to give the miners something to contribute as well.

How about, though, instead of delivering directly to the damaged stations, miners are tasked to deliver to refinery stations in surrounding systems, increasing available metals for the traders to buy and ship to the damaged stations?

Everyone is pulled into the same general area, performing different, but interconnected tasks, at various stages in the process. Miners mine, deliver to refineries. traders trade, hauling from refineries to damaged stations.

Edit: for typo, curse my stumpy fingers!

Further Edit: if there are no refineries nearby, maybe a refinery mega-ship could move into nearby systems, much like the rescue ships?

At a glance, there are a bunch of them can can be mined.

In an ideal world, if enough stations are damaged the demand for mined ores will increase, especially in the surrounding systems to the damaged stations. I guess time will tell, or FDev will add mined materials to the shopping list :p

Nope. There are many metals in the list but they are all refined metals bought at commodities, no ores at all.
