At least you're having fun finding the routes. I suspect most "traders" simply use 3rd party tools or follow published trade routes with little or no thought to amass credits quickly. Those people will get rich quickly - as that takes no skill and is very easy - and then come here in a couple of months complaining there's nothing to do now that they're flying a maxed Anaconda.

I'm not sure skill is a word I'd use to describe those who take the time to find decent routes. Determination, maybe.

Good lord I'm lucky if I can break 1000 cr/tonne
currently trading in me python with 228 tons cargo, making about 1mill per round trip, still going to take alot of trades to afford the Anaconda with good upgrades (im estimating 500mill for that)
I don't like trading with slaves, so, I'm stuck at 1300CR/ton.
wish i could donate my Asp to a good friend who only started playing Elite a few days ago, just spending time with him in a trade wing at the moment so he can get my 5% profit. its quite slow and tedious going but reminds me of when i first started playing last year (premium beta backer)

With some clever use of game mechanisms, you can get 4K with Palladium, find a cheap source and sell it in Aisling Duval space where it's always above 15K. Using the PP passive bonuses help.
