With the sad passing of CMDR Toru, and the rally of support for the funeral procession in Eravate. I want to put forth a suggestion, not just for this sad event, but for any other such causes.
Put simply, with FD naming a land mark after Toru (I particularly like the name of Toru's Rest that has been put forth), on his birthday (I looked up his obit, it's May 20th) CMDR's of both platforms fly a missing man formation.
I think it would be a thing that, besides showing that the community will show their best.
What I propose is that a collection of CMDRs flying Cobra Mk3's or Sidewinders, with no decals fly in a V, like so.
-------direction of flight/\------------
---------------------1-------------------
-----------2--------------------3---------
--4-------------------------------------5-----------
One is the lead CMDR
three to five are following CMDRs, and Two is a friend of the departed and the one to pull up and away to the sunset, if they so wish to take part.
A sixth could be included, flying the ship type that the departed used to fly the most.
If at all possible, I'd like it if multiple flybys were done for other time zones, as many people on the subreddit said that they wished they could make it, if it weren't at the time it was, such as one commenter who would be driving to work during the funeral.
So, what do you guys think
