Memory Chip Mission Question

Ok, so I pulled the memory chip, returned to the same station that gave me the mission, and I'm unable to complete the mission even though I clearly have the memory chip in my backpack.

Is this a known bug, or is there some sort of secret handshake I'm not aware of?

I also noticed that last night!
I'd stacked 5 Scavage Missions to see if they had been fixed, 3 were completed with no issues.
1 at a satelitte crash site, like you OP, I cut open & collected the item but no confirmation was given & eventually had to abandon the mission.
Then there was a locate item in a locker at empty Settlement. When I finally located the locker (these usually only have the mission item inside it) it was crammed full with goodies, but not the said Mission Item, so also had to be abandoned.

I'll be trying some more Missions out today, I'll see what my next session brings..........at least the sites are spawning, for now

Thanks for confirming. Like you, I had to abandon the mission, and then I sold the memory chip to the bartender.

Zack is on vacation this week, and he usually feeds the hamsters in the servers. I think some intern not fully briefed on server hamster feeding duties forgot to feed the server hamsters in the inventory management server, and here we are...

But seriously, I had the same issue last night on several missions, looted the item from a satellite, got conformation, and couldn't complete the mission. All of them were for chemical inventories which I needed for a suit mod, and only one of them worked out. Pretty sure it is a bug, or is it a feature at this point to simulate RL computer glitches?
