Menu input response time lag

I've been playing the game since beta and have never seen anything like this. In both open and solo play, my joystick is responsive as ever but interacting with the menus has a significant delay between the action and response. I have even had some keys just stop responding until a mapped something new to them.

I thought it was my keyboard, so I tried using another one but it looks like that isn't the issue.

Has anyone had this too?

bump anyone? it's pretty remarkable right now, even getting to the quit menu is a task, all the while I can fly and shoot like normal.
