Menu placement in SLF and SRV

Hi

I was trying to point this out in beta 2.2 aswell :p but i guess ill try again^^
The menu's placement/location in VR is horrible. It really blocks your view out the sidepanels.
I dont see why they couldnt be abit lower :)?

I took the pictures from the old post, so none of the new guardianfighers but its the same story there.

If you rummage in controls you'll find an option to summon and dismiss the panels manually rather than them popping up when you look at them. It's two years since I set mine up, though, so I can't tell you the details. You will need to find additional bindings.

This is what i do. I use a button on my hotas + hat to open the panels, and have look to open disabled. Not only does that mean i don't have them popping up when i don't want them to, but it means i can have one open and interact with it, look away at something (the direction i'm flying in for instance) and back at the panel without having the panel close on me.

Same.

Even before vr I got a Headtracker and for five minutes I thought the "pop up on look" was neat.

then I realised it was the most useless and annoying feature conceived.
It's as useful as having a newspaper fold out over you car door window every time you check the mirror.

Hehe yea :) Disabled it while using my headtracker as well. With head-tracking there are even more situations where you might need to look away from the panels while keeping them open. (for instance you have less peripheral vision in a lot of cases especially since your head is turned to one side of the screen)
