Merge Jurassic World with Elite Odyssey

Completely new for long term Elite players, "Elite Worlds" features thousands of different prehistoric planets in different stages of evolution, with variations of dinosaurs and other prehistoric lifeforms to challenge you "On-Foot".

Land in the wrong place, and a prehistoric creature may take a chunk out of your ship. Find yourself in the wrong place and fight your way back to your ship.

I could go for shooting up dinosaurs.

How about it Michael Brookes?

Think about it. It's a pre-built world with plant life, atmosphere and wild life. The enclosures and building assets could be converted to "Elite Base Building" (a mini-game) and then add variations on planet life, atmosphere and wild life to existing planets in Elite. Frontier owns the IP's and for a future expansion, it could be merged in a way to fit Elite.

Teeth marks on my hull, hell yea!

Michael Brookes? I haven't heard that name in a long time. From what I understand he isn't at Frontier Developments any more.
I don't think so. He moved to JW as lead project manager "Game Director" from Elite.

I was making a somewhat serious possible (future) DLC suggestion given the products Frontier currently owns which would complement each other, but as FX2K points out, that would be the likely outcome. Fdev seems driven to create game loops (grinds) and then call them immersive "content".

A few things to add, FX2K...

Pick up dino-poop as raw material (SRV)
Scan bio-sample of dino-poop for engineering (On-Foot)
Step in dino-poop for "First-Foot Full" tag.

Come on, Michael Brookes, this is your opportunity to come back to Elite, while using your existing game project to create "Elite Worlds".

It will be "Glorious".

Odyssey was a bust. You need another winner. What do you have to loose?

Frontier do a lot right. Sound, graphics (ignoring glitches/bugs) even UI/UX to a point, when they don't just slap something together quickly, but think about it for 5 more minutes.. but one thing that echoes through their other games too is, they really lack the ability to create fun and exciting gameplay. IMO of course.
I can have fun in their games, ofc, but generally that's doing something other than intended.

Here I was thinking I would be managing a fantastic jurassic park, when all I was really doing was directing the maintenance staff to do the job I paid them for Feeding the dino's and fixing the fences... sometimes en-mass in an emergency, otherwise back to the daily routine. Mind you, did I pay them.. I don't think the game went that deep actually.
It might have looked pretty, sounded great and even super-intelligent dinosaurs that could navigate a maze to find their prey without faltering.. but it was just shallow and daunting to play.

Anyway, +1 for shooting up something different, dino's, thargoids, weird and wonderful beasts from distant worlds.. etc.

Well, all that dino grind could be converted to "Elite Base Building" with the right Elite developer in charge. As to feeding them, that's gone. They roam the planet for food. Paying maintenance workers to keep your base running would be required and like a Fleet Carrier, has a commodities market, shipyard, storage, home, bed, bar, livery, ARX furnishings and so much more, if FDev had any imagination. The rest is just overlaying most of JW onto "Worlds" (planets) in Elite. Your base is on one of these "Worlds" protected by your enclosure and "Gaurds/Station Workers" you hire, like "multi-crew" in Elite.

So many possibilities, if only.....................

EDIT: Of course, for this to work, we would definitely need "Building Interiors"?

youd have so many arx sinks with just a cmdr quarters heck even have a refit option available where the station work crews refit your ship to your design in short you could install a room for the gunners to go to that your crewman will chitchat with you about stuff like the current combat situation also have promotable crewmen that includes our own Data that starts up as a fighter pilot then you call that crewmen to your quarters where you pick promote to bridge officer after that you’ll pick what station he or she would take on so let’s say you pick tactical they could be slaved to fixed and gimbal led weapons and following the target automatically even landing the ship when needed
