Merits and you

An Asp with a small Fuel Scope. 1 large beam laser the rest multicanons. All gimbals. 2 caffs and 1 defence point, 1 shild cell thought hardly use it. It's pretty economic for Battles and for this porating as well. For the single Ships I use the beam only else I always have to wait for the frameshift cooldown time up. For the rare wings with 3 ships (such a good feeling if you meet one!) I use the multicanon to get right of the escort fast. Mostly I can blow the first sidewinder before the others arrive.

The only Damage I take is from the interdicion which cost about 10k (90%). I believe they have drastical reduced that integrity costs with the last patch. (I remember to have payed 500k or something when patch 1.3 was there)

Ah yes and I have one advanced scanner..quick scanning the systems by jumping through them helps to keep the cost in balance.

I still cant figure what you lose each week. If you have 10,000 merits how much do you lose at the end of the cycle??
NVM found it in the manual....
Merits earned from previous cycles still count towards your rating at diminishing rates.
Your merit total from the previous cycle is halved then added to your current cycle value. After two cycles, its
value is halved again before being added. After three cycles, the value is halved once more. After four cycles
the value is no longer added.

IMO overly complicated just set the decay rate as an average to all that fuzzy math and run with it. Or remove decay and add a merit shop. Buying rewards by using up "favor" you earned for your leader.

Sigh, the inability to hold onto merits week after week just killed any interest I had in PowerPlay. I can only play every so often, and don't always have the time to fly back to a control system to turn them in before the next cycle. This seems like a very user-unfriendly decision, at least to me. I wasn't aware of this and lost 300+ merits I'd gained last week through undermining, figuring they, like bounty vouchers, hung out until you turned them in or blew up. I'm just sad that because of this and how nerfed RESes seem at the moment, I'll likely stop playing for a spell.
